WORLD MOST EXPENSIVES

 WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE BREAKFAST

We generally think of eggs as a budget-friendly grocery option. But this $1,000 fritter, made with one pound of lobster and perched atop a bed of fried potatoes, blows that notion out of the water. As you can see, this dish is finished with a pile of caviar. If you want try this luxurious fritter for “cheap,” Norma’s offers a smaller $100 version. Reportedly, Norma’s sells about 10-12 of both the $1,000 fritter and the cheaper $100 alternative every year.

WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE TEDDY

Teddy Girl is a cinnamon Steiff teddy bear from 1904 and was owned by Colonel Bob Henderson. Colonel Henderson fought in World War II, with Teddy Girl by his side. The richly documented history was responsible for the high price.

WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE PIN

The Cartier Panther Brooch just may be the most expensive of its kind.  Made of 18-karat white gold and platinum, it boasts 868 brilliant diamonds totaling 16.4 carats. The panther’s eyes are emeralds totaling 1.1 carats, and those blue panther spots are 102 Cabochon sapphires totaling 10.7 carats. Suspended from the panther’s front paws is an enormous 65.9 Ceylon sapphire. This elegant brooch is part of Cartier’s High Jewelry Collection and sells for $1.1 million. Now that’s what I call one expensive lapel pin!

WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE HOTEL ROOM

In July, Mercer published its current list of the most expensive cities in the world. Curious about the cost of living for expats, we created a collection of the priciest apartments and rentals in these cities. But what about hotels? How much will one night in the world's most expensive towns set you back?

Based on the cost of housing, transportation, food, clothing, household goods and entertainment, the most expensive place to station an employee is Luanda, the capital of Angola. Moscow and Tokyo follow Luanda on the list, then N'Djamena (Chad, Africa) and Singapore come next. Hong Kong is the sixth, then three Swiss cities — Geneva, Zurich and Bern — and Sydney, Australia, close out the top 10.

WORLD MOST EXPENSIVE TOY ROBOT

Gundam Fix Platinum Toy Robot – $250.000

Having only 12.5 centimetres and 1.4 kg, this toy robot costs $250.000 and you can’t even play with it.

Wondering why? Because the robot is made only to promote the commercially available versions and it has 89 parts made from 1400 grams of platinum and its eyes are made of 0.15 carat diamond.
